About this Opportunity
Hospice Volunteers play an important role as part of JSSAHospices interdisciplinary team by supporting a patient and their family atend of life. Whether this is done remotely or in person, hospice volunteersenhance the experience of patients and families with their compassion andsupportive presence. They provide in person visits from initial admission toour service, to the last days and hours of life by sitting with patients andfamilies to ensure they are never alone.
Although we are looking for every type of hospice volunteer, this opportunity is for military members who currently serve or have served forour We Honor Veterans program. We are also recruiting for our Veteran to Veteran programwhere Active Duty members or Veterans serve as friendly visitors to our HospiceVeterans offering companionship, socialization and a supportive presence.
