We are sharing our exciting opportunity for college students/ young adults to get involved with ourRead Across the Generationsprogram at Montgomery County Public Libraries this summer.What is Read Across the Generations?
FromJuly 7 - August 9, five Montgomery County libraries will host a special intergenerational reading program where adults50+ will read with childrenfostering a love of books and building meaningful connections.Were looking forenthusiastic college students/young adultsto join our team and help make this program a success! As a volunteer, youll:Help find appropriate books for reading sessions
Invite families in the library to participateTake attendance and assist with logisticsAnswer general questionsThis is aonce-a-week commitmentfor five weeks, and well have more details soon as we finalize plans with Montgomery County Public Libraries. Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the students parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
