Commitment: Flexible (Weekends, Evenings, and Daytime Hours as Needed)About the Role:We are seeking passionate and engaging Volunteer Speakers to educate the community about caregiving resources in Montgomery County, mental health support for caregivers, and theDementia Friends Talkprogram. Speakers will present to a variety of audiencesranging from small groups to larger community gatheringshelping to raise awareness and provide valuable information to caregivers, families, and community members.Key Responsibilities:

Speakers will present to a variety of audiencesranging from small groups to larger community gatheringshelping to raise awareness and provide valuable information to caregivers, families, and community members.Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver informative and engaging presentations (3060 minutes) on caregiving resources, mental health for caregivers, and the Dementia Friends Talk program.
- Speak to diverse community groups, including seniors, caregivers, professionals, and faith-based or civic organizations.
- Utilize PowerPoint presentations and a laptop during talks to enhance engagement.
- Adapt presentations to different audience sizes and settings.
- Answer general questions and provide resource materials related to caregiving and dementia support.
- Represent the program in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Comfortable with public speaking and engaging with diverse audiences.
- Basic proficiency in using PowerPoint and a laptop for presentations.
- Passion for caregiving advocacy and supporting those affected by dementia.
- Reliable and able to commit to scheduled speaking engagements (flexible scheduling available). Talks are given at times that the group meetsmornings, afternoons, and early evenings.
- Experience with caregiving, dementia support, or related fields is a plus but not required.
- Volunteers need to be 18 years or older.
- Make a meaningful impact by educating and supporting caregivers and families.
- Gain experience in public speaking and community outreach.
