Gardening Volunteer

Join the Gardening Team & plant and maintain gardens atInwood House. In this role, volunteers will help cultivate grounds that arewell-cared for and welcoming. Volunteers who enjoy being outdoors, working withtheir hands, engaging with residents and educating residents on gardening, andbeing creative will thrive in this role.

COMMITMENTThis position has flexible hours, and we will work with yourschedule. Having one consistent day/time per week to assist in the gardens andassist the residents with gardening is preferred.

DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform gardening duties including weeding, digging,pruning, planting, sweeping paths, poisoning weeds, cleaning, general repairsand ad hoc duties as assigned.

2. Help maintain thegardens and grounds in good condition together with various displays of plants.

3. Assist withplanning and development of garden and grounds.

4. Maintain herbs,fruits and vegetable garden and harvest herbs, fruits and vegetables whenready.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the students parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
