About this Opportunity

Volunteer or volunteer couple needed to perform varied tasks at Craig Brook National Fish Hatchery assisting the hatchery and facilities staffs with general maintenance and grounds upkeep using power equipment. Nature trail maintenance may also be a part of this job experience. Volunteers will also be involved with fish culture activities such as feeding, cleaning, and transportation of endangered sea-run Atlantic salmon populations. Work related activities may require travel to other worksites using government owned vehicles. A valid driver’s license is required as well as defensive driver training provided by the government.   A 24-hour week is required (32 - hour week preferred). Work days and season length are negotiable. An RV site with full hook-up and 50 amp service, water, sewer and laundry is provided at no cost. Preference will be given to applicants that can commit to the entire volunteer period 5/15/17-10/6/17.
