About this Opportunity

The Roseburg BLM is looking for volunteers!

Please fill out an application and indicate the type of work you are interested in.

We are specifically looking for:

  • Trail Hosts - Spend time on our trails greeting visitors and assessing trail conditions.
  • Campground Work - Working with our recreation maintenance staff to help maintain our campgrounds and day use areas.  Splitting and stacking firewood, site maintenance, weed eating, mowing
  • Trail Maintenance - Be a part of our Volunteer Trail Care Crew and learn basic trail maintenance like repairing trail tread, cleaning water bars, pruning vegetation, and logging out the trail.  Help with the upkeep of our beautiful trails!
  • Trash and Dump Site Cleanup - Help remove trash from public lands.  Have a group you need a volunteer activity for?  This is a great way for a large group to volunteer while helping out your public lands
  • Maintenance Projects - Have a special skill like carpentry? Find out how you can put a variety of skills to work volunteering.  Maintain recreation sites by repairing fences, building a bench or registration box or installing or repairing signs.
  • Weed Removal - Work to help remove noxious weeds from public lands.  Also, a great project for a group!
  • Interpretive Programs - Have a skill with education?  Volunteer for our growing Interpretive Program.  Most subjects related to the outdoors, nature, and Leave No Trace would be great.
  • Want to be a Campground Host? We also have campground hosts listed on this site under a separate opportunity.
