About this Opportunity

Volunteers are asked to work (3) 8 hour consecutive days.  Couples will work same schedule, but not the same job.  Minimum of 3 months, maximum 6 month stay.  Arrival and departure days are flexible.  

Visitor Center:  Assist with environmental education activities (Volunteer may be asked to lead hikes, animal fur presentations, snake presentation, assist with Jr. Ranger Camp, Annual Fishing Rodeo, Workshops, canoe trips, etc. Volunteers will be trained for upcoming programs.)  Volunteers are also asked to greet visitors, answer phones, maintain flower beds, and keep the Visitor Center clean and presentable for our visitors.  

Maintenance:  Mowing multiple areas of Refuge with zero-turn mower, hiking trial maintenance, limb removal, blow off trails and parking areas, light painting, various projects as needed based on skill level.
