About this Opportunity
The Mark Twain National Forest, Salem Ranger District is seeking a voulunteer to serve as a Campground Host from May 15 through September 30. The host will be provided with a site at the Loggers Lake campground.
This campground is situated along the south-east shore of 22 acre Logger's Lake. Constructed in 1942, this spring-fed lake is maintained as a fishery, and is a destination for anglers looking for non-motorized boating and quiet bank fishing.
Duties of the Host are to greet campers, provide information and assistance if needed, and clean campsites when a camper leaves (pick up litter, clean fire rings and picnic tables, etc.). Host will keep vault toilets clean.
The Host should have good people skills and be responsible and neat in appearance. The Host must be physically able to perform such tasks as raking, shoveling, and weed-eating.
