Fire Island Lighthouse Docent

Work with the Fire Island Lighthouse Preservation Society to keep the light shining. Share the rich maritime history of Fire Island with visitors and school children. Ongoing volunteer opportunities include providing tower tours, school groups presentations, nature walks, administrative assistance, social media, maintenance and gift shop sales. Seasonal volunteer positions include attending off-site fairs, and general maintenance of the facility. This site is open year-round and is accessible by car for volunteers.

Skills Desired
