About this Opportunity
The mission of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is to preserve and enhance the environment for all of Connecticut?s people. The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection's State Parks Division offers volunteering and internship opportunities in the following areas:
PARK SAFETY: Trails safety, beach safety (lifeguard support), supervisory, casting area, mining sluice
PARK MAINTENANCE: trail maintenance, carpentry projects, gardening projects, building maintenance
OFFICE/MUSEUM SUPPORT: data entry, newsletter production, review, and update exhibits for accuracy, maintain live exhibits, catalogue specimens, special events, digitizing data
PARK OPERATIONS: Teaching, store register, front desk, campgrounds, fund raising, and grant writing
