Food for the Homeless
Easy-to-access foods are incredibly needed for those experiencing homelessness.Providing them with snacks and proteins that dont require tools to open is a huge help to them.
Did you know....
More than 1,200 children experience homelessness OR dont know where theyre going to sleep at night in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties?
16.9% of children under the age of 18 are food insecure in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties?
40% of households in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties struggle to afford their basic needs?
57% of children in Berrien county, and 39% of children in Cass and Van Buren counties live in households who cannot afford the basic necessities?
Supplies needed:
- Pudding cups
- Individual peanut butter packages
- Water bottle
- Beef jerky
- Fruit cups
- Can opener
- Granola bars
- Canned sausage
- Peanut butter crackers
Assemble each in an easy-to-carry cinch bag.
