About this Opportunity
Primary Duties: This volunteer is responsible to assist with all aspects of preparing, serving and clean-up for the Lunch Bunch community meal on Mondaythrough Friday (depending on Holiday schedules and private volunteer groups). The volunteer will assist in the preparation, serving, and clean-up following the meal. At this time, all meals are prepared on a 'to-go' basis. Preparation will include, but not be limited to, preparing the food to be served per a fixed menu, prepping plasticware, napkins, condiments, desserts, etc., as may be needed. MAINTAINING FOOD SAFETY MUST ALWAYS BE #1 PRIORITY OF THE KITCHEN VOLUNTEERS AT ALL TIMES! All volunteers will be required to take the 'ServSafe Foodhandler Course' and The Salvation Army 'Safe From Harm' course.The Volunteer will wear sanitary gloves and hairnet/hat while preparing food, silverware or condiments, and will wear an apron for cleanliness. The volunteer will assist in maintaining an accurate count of the number of meals served. At all times our guests will be treated with dignity and respect by all volunteers.
Volunteer can work one day a week, one day a month, or multiple days as available. We are very flexible concerning schedule.
