About this Opportunity

Are you and your family looking for a safe, meaningful, and affordable way to volunteer abroad? Do you want to travel together while making a real difference in the lives of underserved communities? St. Miracle Works Educational Foundation (SMWEF) offers the perfect opportunity to plan a unique family volunteer trip with ease and purpose.

St. Miracle Works Educational Foundation provides trusted, well-organized volunteer programs in Ghana for kindhearted, energetic, and open-minded families who want to give back. Whether you're interested in working with street children, orphans, supporting education, or contributing to community development projects, SMWEF has a program to match your family’s passion.

Traveling with your family through SMWEF offers more than a vacation—it creates a shared experience that promotes compassion, teamwork, and global awareness. Many communities in Ghana face daily struggles, and families who are fortunate to live without such hardship are in an excellent position to offer support and bring positive change.

Join SMWEF for a family volunteering trip that’s not only rewarding and impactful, but also a journey your family will never forget. You and your family can volunteer with underprivileged and orphan children, education and community development projects.

This program is designed and suitable for families and couples who want to take career break, gap years, etc. while contributing towards helping underprivileged children and empower underserved communities. If you are a group of more than two, you can customize your volunteering experience to meet the specific interests, needs and set goals of your family.

Your entire family can contribute to common projects or pair each parent or adult guardian with children among different workplaces, according to their individual interests and capabilities. As SMWEF family volunteers, you benefit from our many years of experience and can expect family-friendly service projects. Parents and guardians are expected to supervise their child volunteers and collaborate with our local staff or coordinators and local partners to maximize the service experience for participants on the program.
