About this Opportunity
Surfers Beach is just outside the rock jetty that protects Pillar Point Harbor across Highway 1 from the community of El Granada north of Half Moon Bay. This location, under the right conditions, creates a nice surf break as it rolls in along the jetty.
About the cleanup:
Time: 9am - 11am
Where to Meet: One Johnson Pier near the Harbor Master Office
Cleanup Areas: We will cleanup the beach and the rocks when there is a low tide. During high tide, we will focus on cleaning up the trail and the bluff all the way to Miramar (if desired).
Supplies: Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own buckets and reusable gloves. Extra gloves, buckets, and specific tools for this site cleanup will be provided while supplies last. The weather is changeable: make sure to bring extra layers, a hat, sunblock, water, and snacks.
Rain may cancel cleanup. If you’ve registered in advance with the Google Form, you’ll receive a cancellation notice. If you have not registered, check our website's calendar for the latest information.
Restrooms: There is a public restroom by the boat launch or south by Miramar.
