Hands-On Impact: Volunteer at our Blood Donation Processing Site

Support the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross Biomedical Services department! This volunteer opportunity invites individuals to contribute by assisting in the processing of blood products. As a volunteer at our Great Falls manufacturing site, you can play a crucial role in storing and maintaining records associated with blood products received from generous donors.

Responsibilities:

• Process blood products following established procedures after receipt from donors, including scanning in units, segmenting units, and unloading plasma from blast/enter product racker.
• Scan and safely store blood products in accordance with organizational guidelines.
• Maintain accurate manual and computer records related to production and testing.

Requirements:

• Willingness to volunteer in-person at our Great Falls manufacturing facility.
• Time commitment: We are looking for volunteers who can commit to one day per week (Tuesday – Saturday).
• All training will be provided.
