Can You Get Change for a Smile?

Can You Get Change for a Smile? You bet you can! At least here, where all our volunteers give a smile and get change back. That change is a stronger community, a new friend, a sense of accomplishment. All it takes is a few hours here or there and the duties are easy, reading and sorting mail, friendly visiting, a little shopping or going for a walk.

Requirements to be a great volunteer include:

·desire to help others;

·pleasant demeanor;

·good reading/speaking voice;

·average reading skills;

·organizational or planning abilities;

·good driving record;

·clear criminal history;

·two references

·access to a car with proof of insurance;

·a minimum of $50/100k liability and $5,000 of property damage coverage.

·You must be in Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York or Massachusetts, there is no relocation, passport, Visa or stipend available.
