About this Opportunity
Seniors and adults with disabilities often need help keeping up with cleaning and chores in their homes. You can make a huge impact on a neighbor's life and build a special relationship. Seniors and adults with disabilties often feel lonely or even isolated and many appreciate chore help and companionship.
Apply to volunteer with us, where you will be connected with a person who needs assistance maintaining their home due to mental and/or physical disability. Our program offers you the chance to use YOUR unique skills to uplift someone in need! We are seeking compassionate people to connect with our underserved neighbors and are looking for a wide range of skills, from conversationalists to grocery shoppers to folks who are handy! We would love to hear from YOU!
Volunteer Services, a program of Catholic Community Services, assists low-income older adults and adults living with disabilities. Volunteers can provide assistance with light housecleaning, transportation, grocery shopping, home repair, and yard care. With a little help from volunteers, clients can continue to live independently in their homes.
Due to the vulnerable population we serve, volunteers must complete an application form, pass a Washington State Patrol check and attend an orientation.
