Location: Brooklyn, NY and New Jersey (Hybrid - in-person and remote)

Total Weekly Hours: 10-30 hours

Duration: Minimum 3-month commitment (extension opportunities available)

About the Organization

Find Community Connection Project (FCCP) is a youth-focused nonprofit with operations in Brooklyn and New Jersey. We provide professional development training, mentorship, and financial literacy support for underserved young people. FCCP is a safe and inspiring space where youth become confident job seekers and active community contributors.

About the Role

We’re seeking a passionate, self-driven Strategic Development & Fundraising Intern to help us grow our network of supporters, expand our funding base, and develop long-lasting community and institutional partnerships.

You’ll play a key role in:

  • Raising funds through creative campaigns, grant research, and donor outreach
  • Building relationships with new partners, sponsors, and supporters
  • Supporting grant proposals and donor reports
  • Planning fundraising events, donor communications, and corporate engagement strategies
  • Contributing to social impact storytelling that fuels donations and partnerships

This role is perfect for students in public administration, communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or business-or anyone seeking meaningful hands-on experience in development, grant writing, and social impact strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and track grant and sponsorship opportunities
  • Assist with writing and preparing grant proposals and reports
  • Brainstorm and contribute to new donor campaigns and fundraising strategies
  • Help organize and promote fundraising events
  • Support database and relationship management with donors and sponsors
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications team to align messaging and fundraising goals

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Passionate about youth development and community equity
  • Organized, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Interested in fundraising, nonprofit strategy, social impact, or grant writing
  • Familiar with Google Workspace, Canva, or CRM tools (a plus, but not required)
