Companionship for Hospice Patients in the Northland

Kansas City Northland - HOSPICE VOLUNTEERS WANTED AND NEEDED - Visiting Nurse Association, an Affiliate of Midland Care Connection, is seeking compassionate hospice volunteers to work in various volunteer capacities in any of the NORTHLAND Kansas City Metro Counties we serve.

If you are interested in making a difference in someone's life by simply being there for them, this might be the perfect opportunity for you! Some examples of hospice volunteer work includes the following:

·providing companionship to patients while family members run errands

·assisting our patients with small tasks around the house

·share stories or read to the patient

·assisting in the office with mailings and putting together marketing packets

The VNA hospice volunteer can assist with so many daily activities [errands to yardwork], provide relief for caregivers, but the most important role of our volunteer is to act as a loving, compassionate friend who comes to visit and play cards or watch TV, listen to concerns, chats over a cup of coffee or tea, and welcomes the friendship of the patient, caregivers, and family members.

Visiting Nurse Association serves a total 17 counties in the Kansas City Metro. VNA will provide training and work with you to find the right fit and schedule that works for you!
