Reader Needed for Local Resident

A local fellow who is legally blind needs some supports for vision dependent tasks. With just a few hours per month, you can help this very young and incredibly active individual stay connected to his community. He just needs an occasional ride, someone to read a label, get a cup of coffee and a change of scenery. As an avid outdoorsman, classic car enthusiast, animal lover and active tractor puller this fellow stays busy. If you like to be busy too, this is the fit for you.

Requirements to be a great volunteer include:

• a desire to help others;

• a pleasant demeanor;

• a good reading/speaking voice;

• average reading skills;

• organizational or planning abilities;

• a good driving record;

• a clear criminal history;

• two references

• access to a car with proof of insurance;

• a minimum of $50/100k liability and $5,000 of property damage coverage.
