Spotlight Volunteer Opportunities

  • Duty Officer (Remote): Coordinate responses to local emergencies.
  • Disaster Action Team (In-Person): Provide immediate assistance to those affected by disasters.
  • Blood Donor Ambassador (In-Person): Greet and register blood and platelet donors at donation centers and blood drives.

Disaster Cycle Services:

  • Disaster Health Services (License Required): Provide assistance and healthcare to clients during a disaster.
  • Disaster Mental Health (License Required): Provide assistance and mental-health care to clients during a disaster.
  • Disaster Spiritual Care (License Required): Provide assistance and spiritual care to clients during a disaster.
  • Disaster Emergency Supplies (In-Person): Distribute essential supplies during disasters.

Operations:

  • Facilities Volunteer (In-Person): Support with behind-the-scenes tasks ensuring office maintenance, breaking down materials, check for possible leaks, etc.

Service to Armed Forces:

  • Resiliency Facilitator (Licensed Mental Health Professional): Facilitate Reconnection Workshop sessions for military members, veterans and their families.
  • Military Facility Liaison Volunteer (In-Person) between the Red Cross and Military Treatment Facility to support their needs.
  • Community Outreach Volunteer (In-Person): Engage, educate, and champion regional programs available to military and veteran communities and military partners.

International Services:

  • Restoring Family Links Caseworker (Remote): Supports reconnecting families separated by international conflict, disaster, or migration (bilingual preferred).

Volunteer Services:

  • Community Outreach Volunteer (In-Person): be the face of the Red Cross and represent during outreach events (i.e. student fairs, health fairs, etc.).
  • Volunteer Screener (Virtual): Support by matching volunteers' interests with the need of the Red Cross mission.
