About us
Refugee Translation Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to helping refugees transition to a life of safety and security by providing free language services to people seeking asylum and other immigration relief, increasing access to vital resources, and creating employment opportunities for asylum seekers.
As an organization grounded in language access, we know first-hand how translation and interpretation are a lifeline to new arrivals, providing access to justice, social services, and civic life. Our long term goal is to make language access readily available to new arrivals and to our partner organizations to improve lives and create stability in our communities.
Our clients have fled war and persecution in Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo Haiti, Mauritania, Morocco, Republic of Guinea, Senegal, Tunisia, and many other places. We believe everyone deserve to live in peace and safety and that language should not be a barrier to the immigration process.
We work with nonprofit organizations, mutual aid groups, and law firms, to connect with and assist asylum seekers and other types of refugees.
