Become a Hospice Volunteer Across Rural Kansas

Do you live in or near Wichita and want to make a meaningful difference? Enhabit Hospice is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to travel beyond city limits to visit patients in small towns, farming communities, and rural areas within a 60-mile radius of our Wichita office.

Many of our patients outside the city receive few visitors — and your time, presence, and kindness can change that. 💜

💜 What You’ll Do:

• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, listening, or simply being there.
• Provide emotional support and comfort during one of life’s most meaningful chapters.
• Help families and patients feel valued, remembered, and cared for.

📍 Where You’re Needed:

Enhabit serves patients across rural communities in south-central Kansas — including Hutchinson, El Dorado, Newton, Winfield, Wellington, Kingman, McPherson, and many more towns within about 60 miles of Wichita.

🌟 Why It Matters:

• Rural patients often have fewer visitors — your presence makes a real difference.
• Flexible schedule — volunteer a few hours a week or even once a month.
• No healthcare background required — we provide full training and support.
• Mileage reimbursement options may be available.
