Volunteer Opportunity: Operations Associate

Organization: Love My Neighbor Foundation

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Primarily Thursdays, with event-based flexibility)

Commitment: Long-term preferred (Not eligible for community service hour credit)

Love My Neighbor Foundation (LMNF) is seeking a motivated, organized, and people-friendly Operations Associate to join our team. You will work directly with our Operations Manager and assist in coordinating all aspects of our weekly outreach and year-round events. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our mission-making a direct impact on the lives of those in need.

About the Role:

As our Operations Associate, you’ll play a hands-on role in helping things run smoothly during our weekly Thursday outreach and special events throughout the year, such as:

• Toy Drive / Holiday Giveaway
• Backpack & School Supply Drive
• Turkeyday giveaway
• Additional seasonal and community events

You’ll help ensure logistics, setup, volunteer coordination, and flow are well-managed and that our mission is delivered with professionalism and heart.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the execution and flow of Thursday outreach (weekly from approx. 12 PM - 2:30 PM)
• Support the Operations Manager in managing logistics, setup, and team coordination
• Help plan and execute special events throughout the year
• Communicate with volunteers and ensure everyone knows their roles
• Step in where needed to keep things moving efficiently and compassionately

Requirements:

• Availability on Thursdays from 12 PM - 2:30 PM
• Willingness to support events outside of Thursdays as needed
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable with basic tech (email, spreadsheets, scheduling tools a plus)
• Must speak and write English fluently (Spanish is a plus)
