About this Opportunity
BRC is a leading housing provider and services to thousands of New York City's individuals in need by providing outreach to homeless people living in public spaces, drug treatment, mental health care, comprehensive medical services, vocational services, and supportive communities in which to live. BRC succeeds by building trust with the people we serve; listening, acting, and providing temporary and permanent housing.
To foster a sense of community, we provide engaging, social, and fun activities beyond the scope of our clinical efforts, and we look to our volunteers to lead the charge.
Do you love movies? Perhaps you enjoy the thrill of a good chase scene, the goosebumps from an old dark house, or belly laughs from a raucous comedy! So do our clients! So why not host a weekly or bi-weekly Friday Night Movie Night? Our residents would certainly appreciate the break. This would take place at BRC East Side Stabilization in midtown Manhattan. Share your love of the movies!
Finally, any/all potential volunteers must complete a New Volunteer Registration form, which can be found on our website at www.brc.org/volunteer Once received, you will be sent an invitation to participate in an orientation via Zoom.
