Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Fundraising Coordinator to lead our Indigenous Project, aimed at increasing access to STEM education for Indigenous youth. As a part-time volunteer, you will work remotely, developing and implementing fundraising strategies, engaging with donors, and organizing fundraising events. Your passion for supporting Indigenous communities and expertise in fundraising will be instrumental in advancing our mission to bridge educational gaps and promote STEM inclusion.
Location: Remote
Start Date: Immediate
Time Commitment: 4 hours per week
Job Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute fundraising plans tailored to the Indigenous Project’s goals.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners.
- Organize and manage fundraising events, both virtual and in-person, to engage the community and raise funds.
- Collaborate with the Grant Writer to align fundraising efforts with grant opportunities.
- Create and maintain a donor database to track contributions and engagement.
- Prepare fundraising reports and presentations to showcase progress and impact.
- Develop marketing and promotional materials to support fundraising campaigns.
- Engage with Indigenous communities to understand their needs and ensure fundraising initiatives are culturally sensitive and effective.
Qualifications:
- Experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Indigenous communities and cultural sensitivity is highly desirable.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
