Jr. Camp Counselor at SCI

Are you a high school student seeking experience working in a classroom setting, or simply looking to complete volunteer hours for Silver Cord? School’s Out at SCI Day Camps are fun, one-day adventures designed for youth in kindergarten through 5th grade, offered on days when Des Moines Public Schools are closed—as well as during winter and spring break. Our camps are designed to spark curiosity and inspire young minds with hands-on experiments, interactive exhibits, and exciting STEM challenges. Each day is packed with fun activities that will ignite a passion for science and exploration! We are seeking Jr. Camp Counselors for each of the camp experience days (located on our website under the Camps tab.) In this volunteer position, you will help staff facilitate hands-on activities, and help campers explore, experiment, and uncover the “how's” and “whys” of the world around them.

Shifts will run from 9 AM-4 PM here at SCI 🙂
