Position Overview:

The Naturopathy Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching courses that explore natural and holistic approaches to health, focusing on preventive care, herbal medicine, and integrative therapies.

Location: Remote

Start Time: Jan 6, 2025

Time Commitment: 2 to 6 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

    • Simulation Support: Assist in conducting virtual demonstrations and role-playing exercises focusing on naturopathic treatments, herbal remedies, and lifestyle interventions.
    • Teaching Support: Lead online discussions, facilitate group projects, and assist with course materials on topics such as herbal medicine, dietary practices, and mind-body therapies.
    • Grading: Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams, and maintain student records.
    • Student Assistance: Provide clarification and support for students’ understanding of naturopathic principles, including natural remedies and holistic care.
    • Resource Development: Help create educational materials, including case studies, guides, and presentations on evidence-based naturopathic practices.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Naturopathy, Integrative Medicine, or a related field; graduate students preferred.
    • Strong understanding of naturopathic principles, herbal remedies, and holistic care practices.
    • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
    • Ability to communicate naturopathic concepts in an engaging and accessible manner.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
