About this Opportunity
Ikigai Discovery Facilitator and Dream Role Concierge - Volunteer Role Description
The Ikigai Discovery Facilitator and Dream Role Concierge is an integral role in CrowdDoing, playing a crucial part in ensuring that new volunteers can align their personal ambitions, dreams, and Ikigai (the intersection of what one loves, what one is good at, and what the world needs) with the organization's mission and their role within our Venture Lab.
As an Ikigai Discovery Facilitator and Dream Role Concierge, you will be the bridge between volunteers' personal aspirations and their contributions to systems change within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate orientation sessions that familiarize new volunteers with CrowdDoing's mission, operations, and the Venture Lab, establishing a conducive environment for open dialogue.
- Lead introspective breakout sessions during orientation, where volunteers can openly share and explore their personal stories, hopes, dreams, and individual Ikigai in alignment with our mission.
- Actively listen and connect with each volunteer on a personal level to understand their unique experiences, interests, and passions that can contribute to systems change.
- As a 'concierge,' provide personalized guidance to volunteers, assisting them in the co-designing of their 'dream role' within the Venture Lab, and ensuring they feel valued, engaged, and purpose-driven in their journey.
- Cultivate an inclusive and respectful atmosphere that appreciates the diversity of experience, background, and individual aspirations of each volunteer.
Skills and Experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven facilitation skills, with proficiency in leading group discussions and managing breakout sessions.
- Empathetic listening and understanding, with an ability to connect with individuals on a personal level and comprehend their unique motivations, passions, and Ikigai.
- A deep understanding of CrowdDoing's mission and values, coupled with the ability to guide volunteers towards roles that align with these principles.
- Experience in volunteer management, human resources, coaching, counseling, or a similar role would be beneficial but not mandatory.
