Volunteer to support a Foster Care Family in McDonough, GA.

Atlanta Angels knows that not everyone is called to foster or adopt, but everyone can make a difference in the life of a child. There are several ways you can make a difference. We have the Love Box program, where we match a foster family with a volunteer in their community who is committed to building a relationship and showing consistently. The Love Box program provides fostering families (caregivers, children in foster care, and biological/adopted children) with community and holistic support. When our families are matched with committed volunteers who show up monthly, parents feel supported and children gain a greater sense of normalcy, relational permanency, and self confidence.

This program requires a one-year commitment, with meetings at least once a month with your family.

We are currently seeking specific volunteers to be matched with families on our waitlist! We are specifically looking for volunteers in or around the McDonough area for family number #63.

Foster dad is an adrenaline seeker while foster mom is all about spa, massage, and relaxation. They both work full time to support the family and with 4 kids in the home (2 bio sons (13 and 17 y/o) and 7 y/o twin girls who were recently adopted), they have a packed schedule. This family will benefit from a volunteer who will be intentional, engaging, supportive, and willing to integrate into the kiddos' lives, especially investing in the girls. A volunteer willing to play with the girls, take them to a jump house or the park would go a long way in supporting the caregivers. The Christian faith is important to this family, and they would like to share similar values and morals especially in parenting with the volunteer.
