Role Description
As a Youth Advocate – Online Safety, you’ll support DEFEND’s mission by engaging in activities to promote awareness and education about online safety. This is a unique opportunity for young changemakers to make a difference while developing valuable skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and sharing online safety educational materials (e.g., blogs, social media posts, presentations).
- Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions to develop outreach strategies targeting young audiences.
- Collaborate with team members to support digital campaigns and community engagement projects.
- Promote DEFEND's initiatives within your school or community to raise awareness.
- Provide insights from a youth perspective to improve DEFEND's programs.
Qualifications
- Aged 13–17 (Parental/guardian consent required).
- Passion for online safety and protecting vulnerable people.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and online trends.
- Willingness to collaborate with a diverse team of volunteers.
- Creative mindset and enthusiasm to contribute ideas.
