Support Our Solace Hospice Families with Bereavement Calls at Home

Join the Solace Hospice Care team as a bereavement volunteer! Offer grief support and care to bereaved family members -- this will serve to validate their feelings and connect them with helpful resources. Ideal volunteer candidates may include, but are not limited to, those who have experienced their own loss of a loved one and would like to help others who are grieving. Training will be provided and volunteers can call from home on a flexible schedule. Skills needed for this type of volunteering include: therapeutic listening and ability to empathize with others; compassion; a nonjudgmental approach; flexibility; and ability to use a computer for charting purposes.
