About this Opportunity

This role provides essential follow-up and recovery planning services for individuals and households affected by regional events, primarily home fires. The position involves conducting follow-up with clients, providing financial assistance, and coordinating with community partners to support long-term recovery efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up with clients within 72 hours of case initiation by the Disaster Action Team (DAT) or Caseworker.
  • Intake and Financial Assistance: Perform intake and provide financial assistance to qualified clients when cases are not opened by the DAT.
  • Recovery Planning Services: Offer follow-up and recovery planning services to clients, including internal and external referrals.
  • Advocacy and Problem-Solving: Assist with problem-solving and advocacy upon request to support clients’ needs.
  • Documentation: Use RC Care to document services in accordance with Client Care Program Standards and Procedures and RC Care Job Tools.
  • Service Delivery: Provide services either in person or virtually, depending on client needs.
  • Community Collaboration: Work with community recovery partners to address community recovery needs and plan for long-term recovery activities.

  • Community Resource Knowledge: Interest in learning about and connecting with community resource organizations to better support clients.

  • Technological Proficiency: Comfortable with technology and able to use digital tools effectively.
