About this Opportunity
Do you love bocce or golf and want to make a meaningful impact to your local community? The Special Olympics is looking for passionate, dedicated and knowledgable volunteers to join us as bocce and golf coaches for local Special Olympics athletes.
As a Special Olympics coach, you will help local athletes learn and improve their skills by bringing game knowledge, enthusiasm, commitment, and a positive attitude to each practice, event and competition. You will meaningfully enrich the lives of our athletes in life-changing ways by building physical and social skills and instilling self-confidence.
If you have experience with bocce or golf and have a few extra hours each month to help local intellectually disabled athletes learn, compete, grow and have fun, this is the opportunity for you!
Bocce - Assistant Coaches Needed!
- Time: Saturdays, 9 - 10:30 AM
- Location: Central Charlotte
- Note: Exact locations will be shared by our staff.
Golf - Coaches & Assistant Coaches Needed!
- Time: Saturdays, 9:30 - 11:00 AM
- Location: South Charlotte
- Note: Exact locations will be shared by our staff.
Both seasons run through mid-November, with a local state competition hosted within the Charlotte Region November 13th - 15th that coaches are expected to attend!
Only bocce or golf knowledge required, we provide the training you need to be a successful coach!
All coaches must be at least 18 years old to be a certified coach.
