Speak Cantonese or Mandarin? Make a Meaningful Connection Through Friendship!

LBFE’s Visiting Volunteer Program is one of our most impactful and rewarding opportunities-and we’re especially looking for Cantonese and Mandarin-speaking volunteers to be matched 1:1 with older adults in our Chinese-speaking community who are experiencing loneliness and isolation.

As a Visiting Volunteer, you’ll build a real and lasting friendship through regular in-person visits. For many older adults, these visits are the highlight of their week and a vital source of connection, comfort, and joy.

To get started, you'll need to:

• Attend a one-time volunteer orientation
• Complete a background check
• Join a 1-hour virtual training for the program
