People are talking...so "Let's Give 'Em Something to Talk About!"

That's right, people are talking and this time it is all good. So, let's give them something to talk about and let's make it YOU!

There is a close knit population of working and retired business people, who are legally or perhaps totally blind living in theWethersfieldarea. They are a vibrant group of socially active individuals who need a little help with occasional transportation like shopping or vision dependent tasks that cannot be accommodated with technology. Some just want to meet more new people and broaden their circle of friends.

A few of them have great volunteers who make every day special... and they are talking and bragging about them ... now EVERYONE wants to have a volunteer buddy and I need you!

If you have been wondering how you can make the community a better place, this is where to start, it is easy. Requirements to be a great volunteer buddy include:

• a desire to help others;
• a pleasant demeanor;
• a good reading/speaking voice;
• average reading skills;
• organizational or planning abilities;
• a good driving record;
• a clear criminal history;
• two references
• access to a car with proof of insurance;
• a minimum of $50/100k liability and $5,000 of property damage coverage. (We can work around this one-Let’s talk).
