Remote Interpreters and Translators Needed! (Vietnamese/English)

The Immigration Institute of the Bay Area is looking for volunteers fluent in Vietnamese and English to help in the following ways:

• Interpreters (Zoom)- You will interpret during legal consultations between Vietnamese speaking clients and their attorneys. Your schedule permitting, you may also help during our Thursday late morning/early afternoon citizenship workshops to interpret for clients applying for citizenship.
• Translate documents- You translate Vietnamese client documents into English while following our best practices for confidentiality.

Our interpreters and translators are crucial to making sure IIBA's services are accessible to as many as possible. Please let us know if you want to help!

Requirements

• Fluent in both Vietnamese and English
• Able to access Zoom and online tools like Box
• Willingness to uphold IIBAs high standards of respect and confidentiality toward clients.
