Our digital presence plays a crucial role in delivering valuable content to our community, and we are seeking a Website Developer to help optimize and enhance our website.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Website Developer with experience in WordPress to maintain and improve The Medica Zone’s website. This role involves managing website functionality, implementing design updates, ensuring site security, and integrating WordPress plugins to enhance user experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and update The Medica Zone website using WordPress
- Install, configure, and maintain WordPress plugins to improve site performance and functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, ensuring smooth navigation and user accessibility
- Implement design and content updates as needed, working with the marketing and content teams
- Optimize website speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness
- Ensure website security, regular backups, and plugin updates
- Collaborate with the team to integrate new features that enhance engagement and user experience
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in WordPress, including theme customization and plugin management
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic SEO principles
- Experience troubleshooting website errors and improving performance
- Knowledge of website security best practices
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a virtual setting
- Experience with nonprofit or student-led organizations is a plus
