Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Global Health Specialist to join our dynamic team at a leading LGBTQ+ advocacy and support organization. This role is pivotal in advancing health equity and promoting the well-being of LGBTQ+ communities worldwide. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of global health issues affecting LGBTQ+ populations, combined with expertise in public health, program management, and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on global health disparities affecting LGBTQ+ communities, including but not limited to HIV/AIDS, mental health, access to healthcare, and specific health concerns faced by transgender and non-binary individuals.
  • Program Development: Design and implement innovative health programs that prioritize the needs of LGBTQ+ individuals in diverse global contexts. Ensure programs are culturally sensitive, inclusive, and effective in achieving health outcomes.
  • Partnerships and Networking: Cultivate partnerships with international stakeholders, donors, and academic institutions to leverage resources and expertise in advancing LGBTQ+ health globally. Represent the organization in relevant global health forums and conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Global Health, International Development, or related field. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in global health, with a focus on LGBTQ+ health issues and advocacy.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing health programs, including monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience in building partnerships and working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including LGBTQ+ communities, governments, NGOs, and multilateral agencies.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
