Lead Kits for Kids Volunteer - Kansas City

Summary of position: The Lead Kits for Kids Volunteer will work alongside the Director of Kits Programs based in Centennial, CO, to coordinate Kits for Kids events and programming locally. The Lead Kits for Kids volunteer will help oversee additional volunteers who assist with community outreach, inventorying supplies, and preparing for and hosting events. This role requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail, self-motivation, and professionalism.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Train and supervise volunteers who provide support for the Kits for Kids program.

• Conduct market research and outreach to prospective partners and donors.

• Coordinate and host Kits for Kids events locally.

• Manage Kits for Kids supply inventory locally.

• Ensure all incoming kits are quality checked and prepared for shipment.

• Provide support to the Director of Kits Programs in various tasks and projects.

• Follow warehouse safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership and people skills.

• Comfort with cold calling new partners.

• Basic knowledge of computer and email technology.
