Visiting Volunteer - EvergreenHealth Kirkland

Warm and friendly volunteers will provide hospitality to patients with 5 minute visits.Volunteer will have ability to relate to people on an emotional level.

DUTIES:​ Visit patient and help with any of the following: freshen ice water, open/close blinds, dispose of old flowers if requested, help explain call buttons, offer magazines, help with lights, TV, offer warm blanket, provide information about chaplains if requested, offer free items from laminated photo of available items. Visit with the patients if appropriate. Keep visit to approximately 5 minutes in length. Escort or direct family members to cafeteria or gift shop if requested.

Volunteers must be age 18 and up, have health screening including flu shot and commit to at least 6 month.

SCHEDULE:

Orientation and training provided.

2 shifts available:

• 10:00 to 14:00 PST
• 14:00 to 18:00 PST
