About this Opportunity
As the world begins to bloom, you have the opportunity to bring warmth and peace to those who need it most.
At Three Oaks Hospice our mission is to Listen, Care and Serve. We provide compassionate care for patients and families facing end-of-life journeys - both in the comfort of their own homes and in care facilities in a 50-mile radius of Saint Louis and Warrenton. Our volunteers play a vital role in creating a supportive presence during this deeply personal time.
What Hospice Volunteers Do:
As a hospice volunteer, your role is to provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
This may include:
- Sitting with patients and offering a listening ear
- Reading aloud, sharing stories, or playing music
- Accompanying patients on short walks or simply sitting together in silence
- Supporting caregivers by offering respite and reassurance
Hospice is not about curing - it's about comfort, dignity, and presence. Volunteers are the heart of hospice care, offering a calming presence and compassionate care when it matters most. Sometimes, the most profound gift you can give is simply being there - holding a hand, listening without judgment, and offering warmth in difficult moments.
Why Volunteer?
By volunteering with hospice, you’ll:
- Provide meaningful support during a vulnerable time
- Develop deep connections and a sense of purpose
- Receive training and ongoing support from our team
- Experience the profound impact of showing up with compassion
This spring, plant the seeds of hope and peace. Your time, presence, and heart can make a world of difference.
