Volunteer Opportunity: Singer-Songwriter for Hospice Memoir Songs

Description:

We're seeking compassionate and creative singer-songwriters to help create short, personalized memoir songs for hospice patients and their families. These songs will reflect the unique stories, memories, and values of each patient, serving as a heartfelt tribute and legacy keepsake for their loved ones.

Responsibilities:

• Interview patients (or families) to gather memories and meaningful life details

• Write and compose a 2-3 minute song inspired by their life stories

• Record a simple audio version (voice and instrument)

• Work collaboratively with hospice staff to ensure respectful and sensitive storytelling

Ideal Volunteer:

• A singer-songwriter with strong storytelling ability

• Compassionate, empathetic, and a good listener

• Able to work with emotional content and provide comfort through music

• Experience with hospice or palliative care is a plus, but not required
