About this Opportunity

Would you like to take action for nature while meeting other young people from across Northern Ireland who share a passion for wildlife, conservation and addressing climate change? RSPB NI is looking for young people aged 16 - 30 to join their new Youth Network for Nature.

As a member of the Youth Network, you’ll play an essential part in conserving nature. You’ll volunteer your time to support conservation activities, collaborate with others to organise events, and contribute to exciting initiatives that help protect wildlife.

Your participation in our Youth Network can be as big or as little as you like – whether it’s taking on our 5-minute monthly challenge or diving into more of the many opportunities, every bit counts, and even the smallest effort makes a big difference!

During online monthly meetings you will get the chance to choose what actions you take part in, hear from conservation experts and help shape what you are involved with going forward.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Volunteering your time to take part in hands-on conservation activities, from habitat restoration to bird surveys.
  • Learning from RSPB experts through workshops and talks on conservation, sustainability, and advocacy.
  • Organising and participating in events that raise awareness and inspire action for nature.
  • Attending regular Youth Network meetings to share ideas, plan activities, and connect with other passionate young people (online and/or face to face).
  • Visiting RSPB reserves and projects to experience conservation in action.
  • Helping campaign for nature and climate through your own networks and/or through active advocacy.
  • Taking part in our 5-minute monthly challenge.
