Grief Buddy Volunteer

Hackensack Meridian Hospice provides bereavement support to family members who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Volunteer Grief Buddies offer 1-to-1 peer support and are a valuable resource for people who are grieving, especially those who don't have a strong support network. You can provide a safe and non-judgmental space for sharing confusing emotions that sometimes are hard to share with family members and friends.

HMH Hospice is looking for individuals who have personal experience or have supported someone who has suffered a significant loss. Grief Buddies provide in-person or phone visits which are usually 1 hour. Volunteers are provided a thorough orientation free of charge. For more information, contact [email protected].
