The Thaddeus Resource Center is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to restore HOPE, inspire GROWTH, and EMPOWER girls and women through education, life skill development, workforce training, and other supportive services.

Description:
The Hybrid Life Coach volunteer will help improve the lives of women, girls and families by providing advice/assistance with solving problems, and help others set/accomplish their goals. The volunteer will work at the donation center that strives to empower, educate, counsel, and inspire families and individuals to move from a place of dependence to living independently. Through guidance, the Hybrid Life Coach volunteer will have a great impact on the lives of those who seek the path to a brighter future and life. The position can be performed in combination of in-person and remote work.
Time Commitment:
- Must be available to work minimum 5 hours per week VIRTUALLY AND IN-PERSON
- Must be available for the following VIRTUAL weekly meetings:
- All Staff Meeting: Tuesdays 9-10 AM PST
- Programs Department Meeting: Tuesdays 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM (with 1 hour lunch between 12 PM - 1 PM)
- Must be able to commit to this 1-year volunteer opportunity
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and advice
- Help others establish goals
- Help others achieve their goals
- Provide adequate and constructive feedback
- Encourage and motivate others
- Help others set priorities
- Monitor progress and find solutions to setbacks
- The volunteer works primarily with low-income and homeless women/families
Requirements:
- Experience as a life coach or in counseling preferred
- Possess strong personal integrity and ethical principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience
- Be a positive role model
- Excellent listener
- Ability to motivate, encourage, and guide others
- Ability to pass the mandated reporter exam
- Volunteers must have the appropriate technology, internet connection, and ability to function in a virtual capacity via Microsoft Teams
