English as a Second Language (ESL) Tutors Needed!

We invite you to become a volunteer tutor at Corazón a Corazón, a sponsored ministry of the School Sisters of Notre Dame.

Here’s how you can make an impact by giving just a couple of hours a week:

Corazón a Corazón’s English as a Second Language (ESL) program for adults depends on volunteers to help solidify essential English language skills through one-on-one tutoring. Corazón is equipped with textbooks, games and other resources that assist tutors and learners during their sessions.

You do not need to know a foreign language.

After a 12 hour training, tutors are paired with an adult learner based on agreeing schedules.

We are hopeful for a minimum commitment of two hours per week but are grateful for whatever commitment you can make.

Our classes take place Monday-Thursday and the hours are flexible.

Teaching a person English language skills can help them make medical appointments, participate in parent/teacher conferences, navigate a grocery store or simply feel a part of their community!
