About this Opportunity

Description: This position is responsible for interacting with and caring for the cats and kittens that Louie’s Legacy homes within a pet store. The Cat Caretaker helps our cats and kittens increase their adoption options and reduce their stress.

  • Reports To: Foster and Adoption Manager.
  • Location & Schedule: Partnered PetSmart in Plainville. Flexible with volunteer’s schedule.
  • Time Commitment: Approximately 1-3 hours per/wk. We request a minimum of 3 months in this role.

Core Responsibilities include:

  • Feeding our cats and cleaning their cages.
  • Helping us socialize them by giving them love and attention.
  • Assist with facilitating adoption meets and finalizing adoptions for an approved applicant.
  • Answer any questions asked by the store’s customers or staff.
  • Consistently apply LLAR’s brand guidelines and communicate our Vision and Mission.
