About this Opportunity
Bring joy, comfort and connection to patients as they enter their last stages of life. You will receive an orientation and training, and will be well-supported by the hospice team. What can you do as a "cheer volunteer"?
- Friendly visit with patient
- Assist patients as they participate in nursing home activities
- Celebrate birthdays
- Play cards or a game
- Sit outdoors with them on a patio
- Walk their dog
- Play a musical instrument and/or sing
- Read a book
- Write letters that the patient dictates
