Art and Music Volunteers for VITAS Hospice Patients

VITAS is looking for volunteers in Collier County who would like to share their music or art talents with our patients. Volunteers visit patients in the patient's home or care community where they reside. If you enjoy playing music, singing or have artistic talents such as drawing, painting, or coloring, that can provide calm and comfort to those terminally ill, please reach out to us! You will receive training in hospice philosophy, supporting people at end of life, and understanding the challenges of dementia and Alzheimer's. Visits provide socialization, comfort, joy, and compassionate support. Assignments are made according to the volunteer's time availability and location. Great opportunity for retired individuals and teachers, college students studying music, art, music therapy, and art therapy. If you love music and art, share that love with our patients!
